BIBS Pacifier size 1: the perfect start for your newborn
Why pacifier size 1 is ideal for 0-6 months
When it comes to your baby’s first pacifier, size and shape matter. Pacifier size 1 is specially designed for newborns and infants aged 0-6 months, providing the right balance of comfort, safety, and oral development. At BIBS, we prioritize crafting newborn essentials that are consciously made, beautifully designed, and safe for every little mouth.
Thoughtful design for your baby's development
Size 1 pacifiers are tailored to the anatomy of newborns. The nipple is smaller and softer than those intended for older babies, ensuring it doesn't overwhelm a tiny mouth. This makes newborn pacifiers more comfortable and reduces the risk of affecting early oral structure development.
Our pacifiers come in a variety of nipple shapes: round, symmetrical, and anatomical. You can find what best suits your baby’s sucking reflex and preference. All BIBS pacifiers are 100% free from BPA, PVC, and phthalates, crafted to meet the highest safety standards.
Choosing between latex and silicone
New parents often ask whether to choose a natural rubber latex or silicone pacifier. Each material has its strengths:
- Natural rubber latex is softer and more flexible, which many babies find soothing, especially in the early days.
- Silicone is more durable, resilient, and resistant to heat, making it easier to sterilize regularly.
Whatever your choice, BIBS offers both options in pacifier size 1 collections, so you can try and decide what feels right for your baby and lifestyle.
Styles and colors that fit every family
Who says baby gear can’t be stylish? Our pacifiers come in a wide palette of Scandinavian-inspired hues, from soft neutrals to cheerful pastels and bold tones. Whether you're looking for something to match a swaddle or express your baby’s personality, BIBS has a color for you.

Functional accessories for everyday use
Keeping pacifiers clean and accessible is a daily task, but we’ve made it easier with essential accessories:
- Pacifier clips to prevent drops and keep pacifiers within reach
- Pacifier cases for hygienic storage on the go
- Try-it collections that let you test different nipple shapes and materials before committing
Everything is designed to simplify your routine while ensuring your baby's pacifier is always clean, safe, and ready to use.
FAQs about pacifier size 1
How often should I replace a size 1 pacifier?
For hygiene and safety, we recommend replacing pacifiers every 4-6 weeks. Inspect regularly for wear and discard at the first sign of damage.
Can my baby use size 1 beyond 6 months?
While not harmful, babies older than 6 months often benefit from a larger size for better oral stimulation. We suggest transitioning to pacifier size 2 as your baby grows.
How do I clean and sterilize my newborn pacifier?
Boil for 5 minutes before first use. For daily cleaning, rinse under running water and sterilize as needed. Always allow it to cool and expel any water from the nipple.
