Latex Bottle Nipple

Cleaning and sterilizing your little one's latex bottle nipples is an important part of safe usage, helping to keep harmful bacteria away. BIBS makes it easy with these simple steps.

Before First Use
A one-time process before first use to remove any potential manufacturing residue.

Boil: Submerge nipples in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes.

Dry: Carefully remove and place them on a clean towel to air dry completely. Once cooled, squeeze out any excess water from the nipple valve.
This method should be used for first time use only. For ongoing care, we recommend sterilizing bottle nipples before each use. As your baby grows, you can consider transitioning to regular washing with warm water and gentle soap.

Regular Care
Step 1:
Cleaning
Wash by hand with mild soap and warm water.
Step 2: Sterilizing
Common methods for sterilizing nipples at home.

Scalding Method
1. Place nipples in a clean bowl.
2. Pour boiling water over them until fully covered.
3. Let them soak for 5 minutes.
4. Carefully remove and place on a clean towel to air dry.
5. Squeeze out any excess water from the nipple valve.

Microwave sterilization is not suitable for natural rubber latex nipples, as latex degrades at
lower temperatures than silicone.
