What is borosilicate glass?


The short version is that borosilicate glass is mainly made of silica and boron trioxide. This makes it far more durable than regular glass, especially when it comes to quick changes in temperature.

Why choose borosilicate glass for baby bottles?


Being able to withstand temperatures of up to 450 °C/840 °F without cracking means that BIBS Baby Glass Bottles can be easily sanitized, are dishwasher- and microwave-safe, and will work with most electronic sterilizing devices.

Not only is it far more heat-resistant than regular glass, but borosilicate glass is also much harder and rugged. This meansit can endure most of the drops, scrapes and other impacts that will inevitably occur when baby meets world.
